As loving pet owners, we always want the best for our pet companions. They are members of our family and often our closest friends.
What if something happened today and you were hurt, became ill, or were detained in travel? Who would care for your little loved
ones left at home? They depend on us for food, water, medical care and the necessities of life.
Do your pets require special care or medicine? Do you have an emergency plan? Do you want to have peace of mind that if you could
not be there a trusted friend or relative would know how to care for them?
EPAS has been carefully designed to help you with these very issues. The Emergency Pet Alert System comes with everything you need to
ensure your pets will receive care if you can't be there.
The system has been designed by a team of pet owners, rescue workers, and veterinarians. It is simple to use, yet comprehensive enough
to give emergency workers and caretakers all the instructions they might need to make sure your angel(s) will be cared for until you
return home.
Why EPAS?
A few years ago, a retired gentleman was in a single car accident that left him in a coma. He lived alone and had no family in the local
area. Since he could not communicate, no one knew he had 3 beautiful dogs alone in his house. After a few days his friends began to investigate,
since they could not reach him. Locating him in the hospital, they went to his home. Gaining entrance to the house, they removed his dogs,
cleaned up the mess, and cared for his companions until he was able to return home. As a pet owner, this incident hit home--what if my
animals were left alone for days? How could I ensure my friends would know where the cat's medicine is and what to feed him?
Our love for these family members and our realization that things do happen beyond our control led to the development
of EPAS.
For less than the cost of a night out at the movies, you can put in place an emergency plan for your companions. Like any emergency
plan, we hope we never have to use it--but if we do--it's in place and ready to go.
The Emergency Pet Alert System (EPAS) has been designed by pet owners for pet owners. It is more than just an ID card alerting emergency
personnel that you have pets that need care. It contains working components that can provide information to a caregiver in a variety of situations.
If you use a pet sitter, if your flight is delayed, or if you have car truoble and can't make it home tonight--then your friend, neighbor or
co-worker who steps in to help will have all the information they need in one convenient place. If there is an accident in your nieghborhood or
a disaster that prevents you from getting home, emergency personnel will be able to quickly identify that you have animals in your house and take
whatever action is necessary to secure their safety. EPAS has been designed to GIVE YOU PEACE OF MIND.
