The Rainy Day Fund is a special initiative that allows us to cover urgent and unforeseen medical expenses for the animals we rescue. When emergencies happen, this fund helps ensure we can act immediately.

The fund is named after a brave little rescue named Rain, affectionately known as Baby Rain. At just a few weeks old, Rain survived an animal attack that left her with facial scarring. When she first came into our care, we believed she had healed and was ready for adoption. However, her foster mom soon noticed that Rain struggled while eating, revealing issues with her jaw and that her medical journey was far from over.

Further evaluation showed that the trauma Rain experienced had affected the growth of her skull. She required advanced diagnostics, including CT scans, along with specialist care and surgery to correct her bite and give her the chance at a comfortable, healthy life.

Her care totaled thousands of dollars, costs that could not have been anticipated. Situations like this can quickly overwhelm even the most prepared rescue.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we were able to provide Rain with the medical care she needed.

Situations like Rain's highlight why The Rainy Day Fund is so critical. Having these funds available allows us to make decisions based on medical need, not financial limitations.

Emergencies do not wait, and with your support neither do we.
